Research

The Energy Storage Research Laboratory (ESRL) is dedicated to advancing the science and technology of sustainable energy storage systems. Our research focuses on developing cutting-edge materials and devices for electrochemical energy storage, including Li/Na-ion batteries, supercapacitors, hybrid capacitors, and Li/Na-sulphur batteries. We specialize in solid-state chemistry, nanomaterials, and nanotechnology, aiming to enhance the performance, safety, and sustainability of next-generation energy solutions. With a commitment to innovation, we explore carbon and metal oxide materials, prototype device fabrication, and comprehensive characterization and validation techniques. Our work contributes to the evolution of battery technology for electric vehicles and scalable energy solutions for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
